Sarah wrote an article for the now closed Scrapsisters earlier this year showcasing ways to do quilted cards. I’d long wanted to try my hand at a sunburst card and decided that a quilted sunburst could be fun to do.
To ensure that all my rays fit each other, I started by making a template that I used to cut out all the rays. Then all I had to do was put the rays together and stitch along each place they met.
Where the rays met I added a sun consisting of layers of thread, vellum and cardstock. I stamped my message in the centre of the sun and then decorated with a few scattered sequins.
