Signe turned one on July 29th and of course we had to send her a card for her birthday. I like shaker cards for the smaller kids because they are interactive and easy to shake even with small hands. I went with a circus theme using a bright yellow patterned paper, a multi coloured banner and a sweet elephant.
I kept the sentiment very simple: Just Signe’s name and age added on a banner that the elephant is also standing on. For once I really added a lot of sequins inside the shaker which means they are also visible when they end up in the bottom of the shaker.
The shaker is always best when shaken so that all the sequins are visible. Must say that even after a few years with shaker cards being popular, I still really like them. They are fun and playful and just perfect for kids.
