I made this card to send to my mother on the day she retired. The card was heavily inspired by this card by Maureen Merritt but I changed the background from white to black because I felt it made the colours of the dandelions pop even more. There are stems included in the stamp set but I chose to hand draw mine to have maximum control over where they went and how long they were.
I didn’t have a stamp that fit exactly in the oval I had diecut. Thankfully, it is easy to cut clear stamps apart and thereby make them fit better. Here I cut the little “for you” and moved it to where it fit better.

Such a beautiful card! I love the colors that used. They’re so fresh and fun and full of Summer. Thank you for sharing your card with us this week for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. It was a pleasure visiting your blog!
Thanks again! ~Michelle
