Have a sweet birthday

I recently received Lawn Fawn’s adorable Baked with Love stamp set and I had to try my hand at colouring the images and using them for a card (or actually two). The images and the sentiments from this set are really really cute and they make it possible to make really lovely birthday cards.

Essentially, the two cards are the same but I changed up colours and the images I used for the main focus. The images are actually really easy to combine and use to built scenes with.

For the pink card I used more images than I did on the turqouise card. It is difficult to see on the photo but I’ve added Wink of Stella to the metallic parts on the machine, the bag and the butter.

I couldn’t manage to fit in the sentiment, I wanted to use without altering it slightly. But this is where using clear stamps is so cool: You can simply cut the stamp apart, stamp it in a new constellation or in the original one. Perfect!

It took me a few months to decide whether I wanted these stamps or not – now I don’t know why I was ever in doubt: They are so much fun and I can’t wait to make more cards using them.

I’ve added these cards to Simon Says Stamp’s Wednesday challenge and there are a few favourite techniques / products of mine going on here: colouring and blending with PrismaColor and gamsol, diecutting, Lawn Fawn stamps etc.
