Today is the day of the monthly PTI blog hop and I am joining in this time around. I chose the sketch and colour combination seen above for my card but instead of going for an autumn themed card, I decided to do a Christmas card.
This is my interpretation of the sketch and the colour combination: Obviously I went a little larger with the banner and decorations and I didn’t do a flower but the cluster of bells and bows.
I used a stamp from Love lives here: Holiday to stamp the background. When I had stamped all over my background I felt there where some empty spaces in the pattern that needed filling. That lead me to cutting a tiny heart out of one of the other stamps in the same set and use it to fill in the empty spaces. It is so cool that you can cut clear stamps up without damaging them.
I stamped the bells using VersaMark and then I heat embossed them using a fine silver embossing powder. Some of the finer details on the smaller of the two bells disappear but I really like how the silver came out.

Oh, this is so sweet & pretty! I love it! Great take on the sketch!
Your card is nicely designed & your stamped background is lovely – I’ve been using the Bells & Boughs this fall too.

Happy Hopping! 🙂
Love the repeated sentiment background 🙂
Fun card! I like how you bordered one edge of the sentiment flag with pink.
