I tried my hand at Lisa Spangler’s technique and allthough it did in no way turn out as beautiful and elegant at Lisa’s I enjoyed trying something new and different. I’ve never embossed and then used my iron to remove the embossing again but I can see fun uses for this technique even if I find it hard to perfect. My card took a very funky turn due to the colours of mist I have in my stash.
The embossing was supposed to make sure the mists didn’t seep into the stamped pattern but that wasn’t entirely the case for me. I have an idea that it might be because my embossing powder wasn’t fine enough or didn’t melt completely. Oh well – you live you learn.
Lisa used some large embellishments and I combined two types of sequins and a pearl to create my own large embellishments. I also took Lisa’s tip to place some of them under the patterned paper which I must agree looks great.
Again, this was not a technique I’d previously tried my hands at and thus I’ve learned something new and fun!

Flot kort – sej fortolkning af dit fif hos Operation Skriv Hjem…
Superflot!
I love this card! The colors really make it pop.
