Once in a while a post “needs” to be written in English and this is one of them. Yesterday I participated in a challenge at Papertrey Ink: By rolling a die it was decided which colours, elements, sketches etc. to use on a card.
My results gave me a cards with these elements:
Vintage cream, spring moss, sweet blush and pure poppy
Heat embossing
Rhinestones & seam binding
Just because card
The resulting card was a good deal out of my comfort zone but I had a great time creating it. I went for a very soft and romantic look and I used vellum to soften up the background.
Adding the vellum gave me a chance to make a pouch for sequins which is something I’d love doing again. Maybe for a Christmas card?
I heat embossed the image and then I coloured in the flowers using PTI inks diluted in water. It was a lot of fun and I love the end result. It won’t be the last time I colour images this way.
This was a fun challenge and one that made me look at my materials in a different way. Thank you, PTI for challenging me.
