This month the PTI Blog Hop challenged us to use fabric or felt to wrap presents. I must say that it was indeed a challenge but I wanted to give it a go.
I sewed a little bag for a book I am going to give as a present later in the week. Once I had the book in the bag I experimented (on a scrap piece of fabric) with stamping on the fabric and it worked like a charm. I used Memento inks and there was absolutely no bleeding. Success!
To finish the look I added fabric to a paper tag and then did some stamping as well. I also added an oversized button embellished with another button and some pearls to the bow and the tag.
While this certainly was a challenge and one that stretched the imagination it was also great fun. I can easily imagine doing something like this for Christmas presents.
