Welcome to a fun bloghop organized and hosted in a coorporation between the Danish Operation Skriv Hjem and its American equivallent Operation Write Home. If you haven’t seen the first post in the bloghop take a look here and follow the chain through all the lovely blogs. If you follow that chain and comment on each blog you’ll have a chance of winning some new card making goodies. You have until July 7th to complete the bloghop but why not get started right now?
Every participant in the blog hop has created a card and Operation Write Home’s own resident sketch designer has made sketches for each of our cards – what good fun! Below you’ll find the sketch based on my card – please feel free to use it to create cards for charity or just for fun. I’d love for you to post a link so I can see what you create using this sketch.
The sketch was based on a card I created especially for Operation Skriv Hjem and for this blog hop. The prompt was to create a card using our national colours, red and white, and my card turned out like this:
I chose a very simple patterned paper and bright white cardstock. To add a little interest to a very simple design I used a border punch on the white cardstock and I stitched it to the patterned paper.
For the embellishment I layered circles and finished them off with a few ribbon tails. For the motif I used QuicKutz’ Denmark set to die-cut a bike and I stamped the sentiment using a Papertrey Ink stamp.
Next in line in this fun bloghop is Nancy who shares all her beautiful cards and projects at Scrap Happens! So hurry on over and see what Nancy has come up with – and thank you so much for visiting me. Hope to see you again some time.
