My sister-in-law had a special request for a card for a friend’s daughter and I wanted to create something fun and exciting for the little girl. I had pinned this card and I decided to lift it. I didn’t have a die that could make the large sun so I had to construct a template using a die-cut circle and die cut banner pieces from PTI’s Banner Builder dies. Thankfully I now have the template should I decide to make more cards like this.
I didn’t have any bling swirls but I really wanted to add some to the card so again I had to come up with a solution: I hand-drew the swirls and then added small pieces of bling along the lines of the swirls. I also drew and cut the “banner” for the name by hand. The letters spelling the name was made using PTI’s Block Alphabet die.
While there was a lot of “by the hand” work involved in this card, it was also really fun to make and I love that it is so different from what I normally do. I hope Caroline likes her card as well.
