Today Merle.de turns one and off course we needed to send her a card – no less so since we aren’t in Bonn on the day! We will miss celebrating one of our favorite little girls but we’ll do so once we are back from Sweden.
I knew I wanted to have birds on this particular birthday card seeing as Merle means black bird in French. So I drew out my Little Bitty Bird stamp set and set to googling it to find something cool to be inspired by. I found this cute card and knew that that was what I wanted to make. I didn’t change all that much: a different ribbon, more bling and a different way of doing parts of the sentiment.
I die-cut two of the Little Bitty birds in black cardstock, stamped them in white and in order for them to become black birds, I gave each of them a glittery orange beak. I love how they turned out and I am sure Merle’s parents will get the reference.
